Welcome to the Hannah Montana cast bio page. Here you’ll find a little write up of each character on the show that describes who they are and what they do on the show. This will give you an idea of what it’s all about if you haven’t ever seen it before. Hannah Montana is awesome!
Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana
Played by Miley Cyrus
Miley Stewart tries her best to live the life of an every day teenage girl despite living a secret life as a pop superstar. Her stage name is Hannah Montana and only Oliver and Lily (her two best friends) and her dad know her true identity! While she tries to keep it that way to maintain her “normal” life, things aren’t all happy for Miley Stewart as her mom died a few years ago and her father is trying his best to be a good single parent.
The real Miley Cyrus was born on November 23rd, 1992 and has become quite the success since the launch of Hannah Montana. Perhaps most surprisingly she has actually become an extremely successful singer.
In 2007 she was so successful that forbes magazine ranked Miley Cyrus #17 in their list of top earning people under 25 years old with earnings of $3.5 million.
Robby Stewart
Played by Billy Ray Cyrus
Robby Stewart is both the on show dad of Miley (Hannah Montana) and Jackson, as well as Hannah Montana’s manager. He’s extremely proud of Miley’s success and writes all her songs. He is generally a good dad however his shopping abilities leave a lot to be desired. He also has a tendancy to say achey-breaky all the time.
The real Billy Ray Cyrus was born August 25, 1961 and surprisingly had a very successful 16 year long musical career of his own. Perhaps best known to older people as the man behind the song “Achy Breaky Heart” he is also the real life dad of Miley Cyrus.
Lilly Truscott/Lola Luftangle/Lola Lafonda
Played by Emily Osment
Lilly Truscott is Miley Stewarts best friend and started off in the show as a huge fan of Hannah Montana. However she discovered Miley’s secret when she snuck into Hannah Montana’s dressing room after a concert. She loves skateboarding, cheerleading, her hair and all the stuff normal teenage girls love… Especially Miley’s 2nd closet.
Since discovering the secret behind Hannah Montana Lilly has also taken on a second life of her own taking the names Lola Luftnangle or Lola LaFonda. When being Lola Luftangle she wears bright blue Cyberpunk clothes and a light purple wig, however when she’s Lola LaFonda she wears a red wig and heavy make up.
The real Lilly Truscott is Emily Osment. Born on March 10th, 1992. She got her break into acting back in 1998 when she got a role in a large flower company commercial. Since then shes played parts in many commercials, tv shows and most recently the Spy Kids movies.
Jackson Stewart
Played by Jason Earles
Jackson Stewart is the somewhat annoying brother of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana. Like most guys his age he cares about only four things: Food, Girls, His Image, and Money. His best friend is Cooper and he works on the beach at Rico’s surf shop.
The real Jackson Stewart is Jason Earles who was born April 26th 1985. While Jason Earles started acting back in to 2003 with a Mad TV and The Shield appearance, his career is still in the very early stages of taking off.
Oliver Oken
Played by Mitchel Musso.
The Character of Oliver Oken is Lilly and Miley’s best friend. At the start of the show he was in love with Hannah Montana, but discovered Miley Stewart’s secret while helping Lilly break into Hannah Montana’s dressing room. Once he discovered the truth his crush ended and they have been best friends since. He is afraid of gum chewing and goes by the nickname “Smokin’ Oken”.
Mitchel Musso was born July 9th, 1991. He got his break when he landed a small role in Secondhand Lions but for the most part his career now consists of appearing in Disney Channel tv shows and movies.
