Lead found in Hannah Montana items · Mar 22, 10:33 AM
Apparently a number of merchandise being sold by Disney have been reported to contain high quantities of lead, much higher then the 600 parts per million allowed by the Center for Enviromental Health for children.
The affect products include: Undercover PopStar backpacks, the slumbar tote and Secret Star Wallet.
Nothing yet from the people at Disney…

With the writers strike over Disney isn’t wasting anytime getting Hannah Montana going again. According to reports we should be seeing the Hannah Montana Movie being released in May 2009… Oddly enough they plan to release it on the same weekend as X-Men Origins: Wolverine….. Very odd combination

Walt Disney World has announced that starting Feb 24th they will be offering Hannah Montana makeovers at the Downtown Disney Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
No I can’t repeat that name 3x fast either…
The makeover costs $109.95 which includes:
- Blonde wig – Microphone headset – Special Hannah Montana guitar purse – Complimentary pictures featuring you posing as Hannah Montana

I almost missed this but Disney has released a video game based on .. of course.. Hannah Montana! The game is available exclusively for the Nintendo DS and generally picks up the shows story line but portrays Hannah Montana’s character as a sleuth.
Overall the game includes 3 mysteries that you have to solve involving 5 sets from the tv show which is kinda neat, each mystery involves someone threatening to reveal Hannah’s secret but manages to not get repetitive for the most part.

Disney Channel UK gains market share · Mar 22, 03:32 AM
Ok so your probably not to interested that this year the UK version of the Disney Channel has seen a 60% increase in its audience but since this increase in numbers is a mostly due to shows like Hannah Montana it is important because the higher the numbers go the more likely Disney will keep making episodes even if the stars being asking for more money… It also means the show will get a bigger budget which means nicer sets and a much better show.

In a press release issued today, Walt Disney Records announced that they were releasing a 2 disc edition of the Hannah Montana soundtrack on March 20th of this year!
The package will come with a CD and a DVD, the CD will feature the shows various theme songs and the DVD will come with a 30 minute backstage video and a recorded live performance of “Nobody’s Perfect”.
As an added bonus the special edition will also come with 4 signed snapshots of Hannah Montana herself and a coupon for a free “This Is The Life” ringtone.
All in all it sounds like a great package for someone who hasn’t yet picked up the soundtrack, I’m not sure if Id recommend it to someone who already owned it though.
